Hertz Car Hire at Faro Airport

There are 8 main Car hire companies at Faro Airport and Hertz is one of them. After you land at Faro Airport you will go through to the baggage collection area, and eventually head for the main arrivals hall where you will find the Hertz desk along the wall in front of you.

Hertz offer a "Lease Weekend" deal which is when leases that commence at noon on Thursday until noon on Sunday will qualify with the charge for the weekend since the car is to rent on Saturday night. There are some exceptions to the "Saturday night rental and extra days will apply to any rental where the car is not returned by the end of the day on Monday.

If you are planning on hiring a car to do some off road sightseeing when you're in the Algarve be aware that Hertz vehicles, including 4x4s, are to be used only on normal roads and driving off-campus is a violation of the rental agreement.

Driving around the Algarve and to and from Faro Airport is pretty straightforward, and at the time of writing Hertz cars needed to be returned with a full tank of fuel. If this is the case then there is a large Cespa Fuel garage on the main roundabout on the very edge of Faro Airport.

Normally the cars are returned to the main Hertz Car Hire offices at the far end of the Airport Terminal, but check this when collecting your rent a car from the Hertz representaitve when you arrive at Faro Airport.
